Spring 2017 Programs for Ages 5-12

Based on the Player's Grade Level During the 2017 Spring Baseball Season and the Player's Little League Age

Spring 60' Divisions are for players age 12 and younger.

The Instructional Divisions focus on developing baseball skills and fundamentals, and fostering a love for the game, with less emphasis on wins and losses. These divisions are made up of players in 3rd Grade or younger.

T-Ball is for pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten aged players. This division is typically made up of first-year players. For the 2017 season, players must be born prior to September 1, 2012 in order to be eligible to play T-Ball. Players hit off a tee, and later in the season may hit off coach-pitch. Player commitment is one weekday (varies based on coach availability) and Sundays during the season, which runs from mid-April until the end of the school year.

Instructional League (IL) is for 1st Graders. Players in Kindergarten who played T-Ball in 2016 may also play IL. This league is coach-pitch. Player commitment is one weekday (varies based on coach availability) and Saturdays during the season, which runs from mid-April until the end of the school year.

A Division is for 2nd Graders. This is a coach pitch league with some kid pitch introduced later in the season based on the level of play observed by league officials. Scores and standings are tracked, and a playoff is held at the end of the season.

AA Division is for 3rd Graders. This is a kid pitch league with limits on scoring and no stolen bases. Scores and standings are tracked, and a playoff is held at the end of the season.

The Little League division is made up of players in 4th through 7th Grades (Little League age 10 through 12). Players are split into AAA and Majors based on player evaluations. Play in these divisions continues to focus on developing fundamentals, with an introduction to more complex baseball strategies and a higher level of competition. AAA and Majors play by official Little League rules, with minor modifications for the AAA division to improve the competitive balance of the league.

AAA Division is for 4th Grade 9-year olds, most 10s and 11s, and 12s who opt to play in AAA.

Majors Division is for all 12 year olds, plus 11s and 10s selected by managers to play in this division.

NOTE: All 10, 11 and 12 year olds will play either in AAA or Majors based on evaluations and previous performance. Half the teams will make up Majors, the other half AAA. All 12 year olds will be in Majors unless they opt to be in AAA. 11 and 10 year olds can be selected for Majors by the managers based on evaluations, previous performance and the manager's judgment of their readiness to compete against 12 year olds. AAA will be made up of all 10 and 11 year olds not selected for Majors, and any 12s that opt to play in AAA.
